Paranocta, Anjou’s Nomadic Luminaire, Prepares to Conquer the World
A product from Angers has recently found itself in the spotlight, and in a literal way: the Paranocta wireless luminaire, now on display on President Emmanuel Macron’s private terrace at the Élysée Palace. This national recognition heralds a promising future for the company, which is preparing to expand beyond France’s borders.
Angers-based Paranocta was founded by Hilda Ponge and her husband in 2017. Specializing in nomadic lighting fixtures, it has made innovation its trademark. Their flagship product is a cordless luminaire that can be dismantled, transported and recharged, and features adjustable light output. This year, the company has added another feature to its product: it can now be used as a hanging lamp.
The Élysée team was won over by Paranocta’s offer, which led to the installation of four of these innovative luminaires on the President’s private terrace. “We dreamed about it, but didn’t really believe in it. When we were contacted, we thought for a long time that it wasn’t serious!” enthuses Hilda Ponge.
With its innovative and practical luminaires, Paranocta is well placed to light up the world. The Angevine-based company once again demonstrates the dynamism and ingenuity of the French technology sector.
